Instrument Cabinets
RIDALCO stainless steel cabinets are fabricated using commercial grade type 304 or acid-resistant type 316 stainless steel. Interior shelves are available in a fixed or adjustable style.
WHAT IS STAINLESS STEEL? Stainless Steel consists of a group of Iron based alloys containing a minimum of 10.5% chromium. The presence of chromium gives the material its corrosion resistance by creating an invisible surface layer preventing oxygen from reaching the surface. Chromium content is increased once elements such as nickel and molybdenum are added—this improves corrosion and heat resistant properties. The name “Stainless Steel” originates from the idea that this type of steel does not stain or rust as easily as other types of steel—the material “stains less” than ordinary steel. |
