Foot Grilles
RIDALCO is proud to announce that we now offer the Foot Grille System by BOLAR!
The foot grille system as it is known today, is the result of many transformations brought about by the users over time.
At the beginning of the century, all buildings, in Canada, were heated by one or many furnaces which were installed in the basement. At the time, a ventilation grille was installed in the floor, on top of each heating unit, to facilitate hot air circulation.
In 1946, Bolar had the idea to change the vocation of these ventilation units, which were obsolete with the arrival of new heating technologies. They transformed them into the foot grille system to clean and maintain vestibules. With the precious help of the architects of the time, the system was refined. It rapidly became very efficient and was adopted by most.
